Kate was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 1999 and gained full admission to the Hong Kong Bar (as one of only a small number of overseas Counsel) in February 2015. She is a member of Parkside Chambers in Hong Kong where she is developing a broad civil practice.
Kate is a judicial review specialist with expertise across all areas of public law. She also specialises in planning and environmental law and property law. She has further experience in Hong Kong of company and insolvency law (including cross-border insolvency issues).
She is currently instructed on matters together with John Litton QC, including by the Town Planning Board in a judicial review challenge due to be heard in summer 2016.
As part of a team with John Litton QC and Charles Banner she has delivered seminar talks on topical issues in planning and environmental law.
Kate is ranked as a leading junior by the Legal 500 for administrative & public law. She is described as "excellent at getting to grips with the issues and providing realistic and practical advice".
