Practice Summary

Dr Markus W. Gehring is an Associate Member of Landmark Chambers. A Fellow of the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, he teaches and researches international and EU law at the Faculty of Law, University of Cambridge.

Dr Gehring is a Rechtsanwalt in the Frankfurt/Main Bar and a Barrister-at-Laws in the Law Society of Upper Canada in Ontario/Canada. He practiced as an associate member of the Brussels Bar with the US law firm Cleary Gottlieb in Brussels.

He acts as Lead Counsel for the Montreal based legal charity Centre for International Sustainable Development Law (CISDL) in International Trade, Investment and Finance Law and has represented the organisation in many international meetings and as an observer to the World Trade Organisation, the United Nations and other international negotiations.
